New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Marbella PR) Blurred Vision is a perfect example of how an artist can use their voice to make a difference and we are proud to have them join the celebration.

Following their successful showcase at Canadian Music Week 2014, Blurred Vision will head to New York next week as one of the special guests performing at this year's WhyHunger Chapin Awards, "Hope to End Hunger" event. The prestigious annual celebration honours those making a difference in the fight against hunger and poverty. Blurred Vision will be performing intimate, acoustic renditions of songs from their upcoming debut album as well as their poignant tribute to Beatles legend John Lennon called "Dear John". They will share the stage with WhyHunger ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award 2014 winners, The Fab Faux. Here are the details:

Event: WhyHunger Chapin Awards 2014
Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2014 @ 6:00 pm
Venue: Hard Rock Cafe Times Square, 1501 Broadway, New York, NY 10036

"We are excited to introduce Blurred Vision to a wider group of WhyHunger supporters at this year's annual dinner," said Hillary Zuckerberg, WhyHunger's Director of Artists Against Hunger & Poverty program. "Blurred Vision is a perfect example of how an artist can use their voice to make a difference and we are proud to have them join the celebration."

Blurred Vision joined the fight to end hunger and poverty as official ambassadors of WhyHunger's Artists Against Hunger & Poverty program in 2012, alongside music legends Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, and Carlos Santana among others. Blurred Vision donates all of the iTunes sales from their original song "Dear John" to WhyHunger.

ABOUT BLURRED VISION Blurred Vision is a 4-piece progressive/alternative Canadian rock band based in Toronto and New York. Founding members, brothers Sepp and Sohl Osley, joined by drummer Ben Riley, and keyboardist Joel Lightman, formed the group in 2010. Since then, Blurred Vision has been performing across their base cities of Toronto and New York and touring in the UK. Blurred Vision is best known for gaining the staunch and impressive support of rock legend & Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters, for their first official video release "Hey Ayatollah, Leave Those Kids Alone", a remake of Pink Floyd's iconic "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2", which went viral. In February 2014, Blurred Vision was the only Canadian band invited to perform at the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of The Beatles arrival in America, playing to a sold out crowd at the historic Hudson Theatre in New York. Blurred Vision is set to release their debut album "Organized Insanity" later in 2014, produced by multi-platinum selling, Terry Brown. They have also completed the soundtrack and score for major feature film "Manhattan Undying" set for release in 2015.
