He will release the music video for the single "
Distractions", ahead of his yet-to-be-titled album.
"As an artist, you have to be willing to grow and show your fans something new. I'm excited about my upcoming album and really want to show my fans how I'm evolving - I want them to see another side of me and see that I'm as dedicated to my music today as I was when I first started out," said Chi City.
Chi City hails from the Southside of Chicago, where he grew up surrounded by gang violence, drugs, and street hustlers. Though he's always been proud of his ability to navigate around his rough upbringing and survive the streets, Chi City's lyrical gifts come from speaking "the truth" about his life so that his fans have someone who can genuinely identify with them. Because of his dedicated followers, Chi City is ambitious enough to become the household name he envisions himself one day, sharing his tales of growing up in Chi-Town and becoming one of its finest rappers. Chi City has yet to release the dates of his upcoming radio tour, where he will promote new music from his forthcoming album, which he is currently recording. He will be performing May 25 at the Epic Nightclub in Chicago.
