Biography
Lacazette, born Emanuel Karageorgoudis, is a German rapper of Greek descent who emerged as a prominent figure in the German hip-hop scene in 2024.
Emanuel Karageorgoudis was born and raised in the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. He has Greek roots and reportedly still resides with his mother in Berlin. Before adopting the stage name Lacazette, he performed under the alias "Grekko," a nod to his heritage, and shared his early music on SoundCloud, with some tracks dating back to 2016. His current moniker is inspired by a play on words with "La Cassette," reflecting his affinity for old-school sounds, and also references the French footballer Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette officially launched his music career in May 2024 with the release of his debut single "H&K." He quickly followed up with tracks like "AZR" and "8HT" in June, "SCH" in July, and "PKS" and "CUP" in August. His single "CUP" entered the German single charts on September 6, 2024, and also charted in Switzerland. Subsequent releases "FTW" and "H&K" further solidified his presence in the charts.
On December 27, 2024, Lacazette released his debut album, LID, which reached number 5 on the German album charts.
Lacazette is known for his unique style that blends old-school beats with a distinctive flow. His music often reflects his diverse cultural background and urban upbringing.
