Maraaya


Maraaya are a Slovene duo that represented Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Here for You". The group's name is a combination of its members Marjetka and Raay's names, while its pronunciation means "She has Raay" in the Slovene language. 

The duo of vocalist Marjetka Vovk (née Jurkovnik, born 11 December 1990) and producer Aleš Vovk ("Raay", born 23 October 1992), both previously members of the turbo-folk group Turbo Angels, was formed in 2014 when they released their first single "Lovin' Me". This song was a big success at dance and iTunes music charts in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Slovenia. This song was put on Polish Bravo Hits Zima 2015. 

Raay is credited as the composer on Slovenia's 2014 Eurovision song "Round and Round", and they both contributed to Slovenia's 2014 Junior Eurovision song "Nisi sam (Your Light)". He also co-wrote and produced the music for "My Way Is My Decision", a hit song performed by Slovenian alpine skier Tina Maze. He wrote the music for many Slovenian pop artists.
