Stockholm’s Seinabo Sey has been around for a while in previous guises, but Younger was the 23 year old's debut solo effort
As this initially straight-up soul-pop ballad unfolds, lingering organ notes give way to powerhouse vocals before producer Magnus Lidehäll shows his hand. Responsible for Mapei‘s killer number Don’t Wait, he feeds Sey’s vocals through distorted cyclic loops. The production is crisp, clean and perfectly understated. Instrumental adornments build cautiously until the song finds itself in the throws of euphoric, trance-infused sonics – but the focus of the song always remains that incredible voice.
